Is it okay to carry food in your hand luggage (I don't mean buying food after security, I mean packing food and taking it through security), I just got some sweets and jam I want to pack.
I haven't flown with EasyJet before, how strict are they with the size limits? I think my bag might be a tiny, tiny bit over the length size (it is 55x40x20cm, right? that's height/width/depth?) but it's well under the height and depth limits and I'm not planning to pack it so it's completely full. If I'm unlucky and they insist I take it as hold luggage, all I will have to do is check it in as it is and pay for it? Yes food is fine, the issue is only with liquids. No idea about luggage measurements but a small backpack is okay. Jam will be classed as a liquid. If it's under 100ml and in a clear plastic bag you'll be ok.
As for food, it's fine, as long as you're not going somewhere like Australia.
